Event Development and Planning

Planning an event involves preparation. From the pre-planning stage to the actual event date logistics, you must keep track of the event and manage it.

Far too often, this is not done consistently from year to year and school to school. My Class Companion concentrates on the base fundamentals of event planning, organization of resources, and funding. Efficiency in this process assures that all participants, from the school administration down to the parents and students, will be a part of a rewarding experience

Administrative consistency in the event planning and approval process is paramount. The approval process must be completed in a logical timeframe to meet the confirmation requirements of the facility or destination involved and provide school families with a manageable timeframe, if the event involves travel and fees, to plan and budget for the event.

Funding and manpower requirements must be considered, addressed and the event sponsor, teacher, coach, school administration, must take ownership in the process from concept to completion. We provide much needed training in the event planning process, including three distinct event forms that assist in event development, simplifying the administration review and approval process, setting resources for on-campus events, and walking through the details of off-campus travel and extended trips, charter and non-charter.
